D. L. Smith
D.L. Smith is a self-taught artist from Spokane. He has been a drawing artist for as long as he can remember, sitting for long periods of quiet concentration as a child while his siblings tried to distract him. In 2018 he found his love of painting large canvas, using knives, trowels, syringes, and fingers to capture the undefinable beauty of moments in life. His studio is the dining room of the house he shares with his wife, where they collaborate and make art together.
His work has been exhibited at local Spokane galleries and venues, including MadLab Co., Terrain, the Liberty Building, Wiley's Bistro, and the Spokane Library.
